There are two simple hinges which attach the lid with the main bottom part of the box and when you lift the lid the words ‘Keeping you close in my thoughts’ can be read and the box has a 10cm square by 3cm deep area in which to store small keepsakes. When the lid is closed there is a square inset which has a raised style willow tree woman in the middle that is holding a conch shell to her ear listening.
